Plans & Build Proposal

  • A separate home would be built in a private area on the land for displaced boys who were living on the street. The home would be staffed with caretakers to watch over the boys. They would receive counseling as well as schooling on the property. All of their costs including medical expenses would be covered. As the boys start to get older we will provide support through university and job training.

*Both the girl’s and boy’s home would be included in our coffee and artisan craft program to build up a financial savings as well as provide a future career opportunity.

  • A separate home would be built in a private area opposite of the boy homes for displaced girls who were living on the street or at risk of human trafficking/prostitution. The home would be staffed with caretakers to watch over the girls. They would receive counseling as well as schooling on the property. As the girls start to get older we will provide support through university and job training.

*Both the girl’s and boy’s home would be included in our coffee and artisan craft program to build up a financial savings as well as provide a future career opportunity.

  • Space to feed 500+ needy kids breakfast and lunch. The kitchen would include five refrigerators, one large freezer, 3 injera makers and we would build a customized stove for cooking.

  • The guesthouse will be equipped with enough rooms for 20+ long term or short term volunteers on the upper level. The lower level will be a cafe open to guests as well as staff. The cafe will serve coffee that has been roasted on site as well as serve fresh baked desserts and breads. 18+ kids in the program will be hired to work at the cafe. Packaged coffee and handcrafts will be available for visitors and volunteers to purchase.

  • The property would hold a daycare as well as a K-12 school. The school would take a holistic education approach focusing on the process of learning in hopes of the student developing a compassionate understanding of the world around them. In order to provide this type of education we will give the extra training necessary for teachers.

  • The clubhouse will provide art and music therapy which can help boost confidence as well as alleviate anxiety and depression. Each day will provide a new opportunity to be creative as well as find inner peace. On staff will be art, music and yoga teachers who will be trained to work with children who are dealing with severe traumas and stress.

  • Our coffee program will provide training in exporting and roasting coffee as well as latte art. This program will provide a secure career opportunity for the boys and girls living on site as well as other kids who are of age.

We will also have a handcraft center that will specialize in traditional/modern dresses and dolls. These handcrafts and coffee will be sold in the US to raise money for the program.

  • Onsite we will have a farm animal rescue. Family and community members will be hired to care for the animals as well as the farm. The farm will grow all vegetables needed for the kids' meals.

  • A mini clinic providing routine medical services for the kids

The entire project will run on solar power and have a rain catching system / well for clean water.
